Martech Vendor Watch — Week of Aug 26–Sep 2, 2026

Prepared for: CRMT Digital Consultancy Team Scope: Priority vendors from the Vendor Tracking sheet (marketing automation, CRM, ABM, lead management, data management/governance), plus adjacent vendors relevant to enterprise tech and growth-stage clients.

Note on dates: a few items below are dated slightly before Aug 26 (as far back as ~Aug 5–19). They’re included because they are either (a) the most recent substantive release from that vendor, (b) still actively rolling out/taking effect during this window, or (c) directly time-relevant to work CRMT clients are likely doing right now. Each item’s actual date is noted so you can judge freshness.

Executive Summary

  • M&A: Integrate acquires CaliberMind (Aug 26). A universal lead management/data governance platform buying a GTM attribution and marketing-analytics platform, aimed squarely at closing the gap between campaign execution and revenue proof. Directly relevant to LeanData/Openprise-adjacent lead-management work and to any client attribution conversation.
  • Salesforce is the biggest story this week. The Winter ‘27 release notes (published Aug 19) began sandbox preview on Aug 28, inside our window, and confirm a platform-wide rebrand: Sales Cloud → Agentforce Sales, Revenue Cloud → Agentforce Revenue Management, and Marketing Cloud Next → Agentforce Marketing. Combined with the Contentful acquisition (June 2026) feeding new CMS/content capabilities, this affects how we scope and name workstreams for any client on Salesforce Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition, Account Engagement, or Sales Cloud. Production upgrades land Sept 4, Oct 2, and Oct 9.
  • Agentic/MCP integration is now table stakes across the ABM and orchestration layer. 6sense (MCP server + AI-Recommended Leads GA, Aug 10), Demandbase (MCP integration with Sendoso, Aug 5), LeanData (multi-model AI Inference Nodes now supporting Anthropic and Azure, ~late Aug), and Clay (weekly AI/agent-oriented releases, latest Aug 24) are all converging on the same pattern: signals and enrichment surfaced directly inside AI agents and CRM workflows rather than in a separate dashboard.
  • Two compliance/operational deadlines land inside this window: Marketo’s REST API access_token deprecation hits Aug 31, and HubSpot’s legacy private-app creation sunset for new accounts begins Sept 28 (existing accounts Oct 26) — both require Ops attention on any client integrations still using the old auth methods.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales was named a Leader in the 2026 Gartner Magic Quadrant for CRM Sales Platforms for the 16th consecutive year (Aug 6) — useful proof point for platform-selection conversations, not a product change.
  • Attribution/GTM-intelligence startups continue to raise and mature (Dreamdata, HockeyStack, Warmly, Factors.ai, Attio) — worth having on the radar as alternatives or complements to 6sense/Demandbase for attribution-focused or budget-constrained clients, especially growth-stage companies.

Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition, Account Engagement)

Winter ‘27 release: platform rebrand + Contentful-driven CMS push

  • Business impact: High
  • What changed / why it matters: Salesforce published Winter ‘27 release notes on Aug 19; sandbox preview began Aug 28 (in-window), with phased production rollout Sept 4–Oct 9. Notably, product names are consolidating under the Agentforce brand — Sales Cloud is now referred to as Agentforce Sales, Revenue Cloud as Agentforce Revenue Management, and Marketing Cloud Next as Agentforce Marketing. The release also introduces a new Agentforce Marketing Goals Agent that autonomously selects campaign, channel, content and timing per customer, and expanded content management features stemming from the June 2026 Contentful acquisition. This affects terminology in client deliverables, roadmaps, and any RFP/positioning work, and the Goals Agent is directly relevant to clients running Marketing Cloud Advanced Edition.
  • Recommended follow-up: Review sandbox preview in an active client org before the Sept 4 production wave; update any client-facing documentation or roadmaps that still reference “Marketing Cloud Next,” “Sales Cloud,” or “Revenue Cloud” by their old names; flag the Goals Agent to any client evaluating agentic campaign orchestration.

Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot)

  • Business impact: Low
  • What changed / why it matters: No distinct Account Engagement-specific release surfaced this week; it continues to sit outside the Marketing Cloud Next/Agentforce Marketing rebrand and architecture referenced above, so existing Pardot-based builds are unaffected for now.
  • Recommended follow-up: None required this week; keep monitoring, as Salesforce’s broader roadmap continues to narrow gaps between Account Engagement and Marketing Cloud Engagement.

Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Sales)

Named Gartner Magic Quadrant Leader for CRM Sales Platforms (16th year running)

HubSpot (Marketing Automation, CRM)

Legacy private app sunset begins; Service Keys become the standard

  • Business impact: Medium-High
  • What changed / why it matters: HubSpot is removing the ability to create new legacy (non-Project-based) private apps from the account UI. Rollout is tiered: new accounts lose this ability Sept 28, 2026; existing accounts follow Oct 26, 2026. Existing legacy apps keep working for now, but new integration work should move to Service Keys (scoped access, audit logging, 7-day rotation grace period). Any client integration built or documented around legacy private apps needs to be flagged before the Sept 28/Oct 26 cutovers.
  • Recommended follow-up: Audit client HubSpot instances for legacy private-app usage; plan migration to Service Keys ahead of the account-specific cutover date; update integration documentation/runbooks accordingly.

August product update: AI-driven lead scoring insights, Customer Agent deployment guidance, expanded Claude/MCP connector

  • Business impact: Medium
  • What changed / why it matters: HubSpot’s August release (rolling out through the month, most recently updated ~Aug 11) adds AI-suggested lead-scoring rules based on historical conversion data, benchmark-driven deployment recommendations for Customer Agent, and a broader HubSpot connector for Claude/MCP that surfaces more HubSpot data inside AI tools. Relevant to any client work on lead scoring optimization or AI-assisted service deployment.
  • Recommended follow-up: Evaluate the AI lead-scoring “Discover AI rules” feature for clients currently running manual scoring models; note the expanded Claude connector for any client exploring HubSpot data access via MCP.

Adobe Marketo Engage

REST API access_token deprecation deadline — Aug 31, 2026

  • Business impact: Medium-High
  • What changed / why it matters: The access_token query-parameter method of authenticating Marketo REST API calls stops working after Aug 31, 2026 (falls inside this window) — all integrations must use the Authorization header instead. Any custom integration, iPaaS connector, or legacy script still using the old parameter will break.
  • Recommended follow-up: Audit client Marketo integrations (custom code, Zapier/Workato-style connectors, internal scripts) for access_token usage and migrate to header-based auth immediately if not already done.

September release notes due Sept 25; ongoing AI/agentic direction from Summit 2026

  • Business impact: Low
  • What changed / why it matters: No new functional release lands inside this window (the current live release is August’s, last updated Aug 10; the next release notes post Sept 25). The broader narrative since Adobe Summit 2026 — conversational UI layered on classic Marketo, MCP integration with Claude/Copilot, and an AI assistant grounded in Adobe documentation — continues to shape Adobe’s roadmap and is worth keeping in mind for any client considering a multi-year Marketo commitment.
  • Recommended follow-up: No immediate action; watch for the Sept 25 release notes.

Oracle Eloqua

26C release rollout (Redwood Campaign Canvas, auto-click detection, reporting)

  • Business impact: Medium
  • What changed / why it matters: Eloqua’s 26C release rolled out Aug 7–22 (just before this window but still actively propagating to instances). Highlights include a Redwood Campaign Canvas in early preview, improved auto-click detection using multiple signals for more accurate engagement data, and reporting enhancements (email activity metrics, expanded reporting API options). Relevant for any Eloqua client mid-migration to the Redwood UI.
  • Recommended follow-up: Confirm 26C has landed in client PODs and validate any custom reports that depend on the reporting API’s new expand query option.
  • Source: https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect/discussion/969486/oracle-eloqua-26c-customer-overview-aug-2026
  • Business impact: Medium
  • What changed / why it matters: Oracle issued guidance (dated July, still active discussion in the Eloqua community through August) responding to increased regulatory focus in France and Italy on consent and transparency for email open-tracking pixels. Directly relevant given CRMT’s GDPR/compliance mandate for EMEA clients.
  • Recommended follow-up: Review open-tracking consent language and configuration for any client sending into France/Italy from Eloqua (or any ESP) as part of routine compliance review.
  • Source: https://community.oracle.com/customerconnect/categories/cx-eloqua

6sense (ABM)

  • Business impact: High
  • What changed / why it matters: 6sense shipped four product innovations on Aug 10: general availability of an MCP server that surfaces 6sense intent/account intelligence inside MCP-compatible agents (Claude, ChatGPT, Writer, Agentforce), new programmatic APIs, advertising-workflow improvements that replace static lists with live buying context, and general availability of AI-Recommended Leads, which converts engaged-but-anonymous ad accounts into named, CRM-ready contacts without manual prospecting. Separately, 6sense was named to the 2026 Inc. 5000 list (6th consecutive year, Aug 18), reinforcing its market position. This is the clearest signal yet that ABM intelligence is moving from dashboard-only to embedded-in-agent, which should inform how we pitch ABM modernization work.
  • Recommended follow-up: Brief ABM-focused client teams on AI-Recommended Leads as a way to close the “engaged but not identified” gap in paid campaigns; evaluate the MCP server for any client building internal AI agent workflows that need account intelligence.

Demandbase (ABM)

August product update: MCP–Sendoso integration, Agentbase feature controls

  • Business impact: Medium
  • What changed / why it matters: Demandbase’s Aug 5 product update (rolling through the month) adds an MCP integration connecting Demandbase account intelligence directly into Sendoso, letting an intent spike trigger a personalized physical gift-send automatically; it also gives admins granular on/off control over individual Agentbase (AI) features, renames the Insights tab to “News” for clarity, and adds an Employment Status filter dimension. Together with 6sense’s MCP launch, this confirms ABM vendors are racing to embed intelligence into adjacent GTM tools rather than keeping it siloed.
  • Recommended follow-up: Flag the Sendoso integration to any client running account-based gifting programs alongside Demandbase; note the new admin-level Agentbase controls for governance-conscious clients.

LeanData (Lead Management)

Q3 2026 / 9.x release: AI Inference Nodes reach GA with multi-model support

  • Business impact: Medium-High
  • What changed / why it matters: LeanData’s Q3 2026 release (9.x) takes AI Inference Nodes to general availability inside FlowBuilder — routing graphs can now run an LLM prompt against unstructured text mid-flow and feed the result back into deterministic routing logic. Model support expands beyond OpenAI/Gemini to include Anthropic and Microsoft Azure, opening this up to Microsoft-centric clients. A new web-search toggle lets a node pull current information (e.g., headcount, recent news) into a routing decision, and the AI Assistant (previously limited to Audit Logs) now works inside FlowBuilder itself for plain-language graph troubleshooting.
  • Recommended follow-up: Since CRMT already uses LeanData internally, pilot AI Inference Nodes on a routing use case that currently needs manual judgment calls (e.g., account-tier classification from free-text fields); note Azure/Anthropic model support if any client routing logic needs to stay off OpenAI.

Integrate acquires CaliberMind (M&A — Lead Management / Attribution)

Integrate buys CaliberMind to close the loop between lead gen and revenue attribution

  • Business impact: High
  • What changed / why it matters: On Aug 26, Integrate — a universal lead management and data governance platform for B2B marketing teams — announced its acquisition of CaliberMind, a GTM intelligence, attribution, and marketing-analytics platform (multi-touch attribution, buyer-journey/account analytics, marketing mix modeling, account scoring, revenue intelligence). The stated goal is to feed CaliberMind’s attribution and revenue signals back into Integrate’s campaign orchestration and lead-routing decisions in near real time, rather than leaving attribution as a separate, lagging report. CaliberMind will continue operating as a distinct product line with its existing team; native integrations between the two platforms are expected over the next few months, with deeper interoperability in 2027. This is directly relevant to CRMT’s lead-management and data-governance practice (adjacent to LeanData/Openprise work) and to any client attribution conversation where 6sense, Demandbase, Dreamdata, or HockeyStack are also being evaluated — it signals continued consolidation of demand-gen execution and revenue attribution into single platforms as B2B marketing budgets stay flat.
  • Recommended follow-up: Flag to any client currently running Integrate for lead management, since CaliberMind capabilities may become part of their existing contract; note this as a comparison point for clients evaluating standalone attribution tools (Dreamdata, HockeyStack) versus a consolidated lead-management-plus-attribution platform; watch for the first native integrations to land over the coming months before recommending implementation timing to clients.

Openprise (Lead Management & Data Governance)

No dated release inside this window

  • Business impact: Low
  • What changed / why it matters: No new product or company announcement from Openprise landed in the last two weeks; the most recent public press release remains the June 25 “Cuts Enterprise AI Token Costs by Up to 80%” announcement. Worth remembering that Openprise and CRMT Digital already have a formal strategic partnership (announced Jan 2026) around data quality and AI innovation — this is background context rather than news, but useful to keep in view when Openprise’s roadmap does move.
  • Recommended follow-up: None this week; re-check next cycle.

Clay (Data Enrichment & Governance)

Weekly product roundups continue at pace; latest in-window release Aug 24

  • Business impact: Medium-High
  • What changed / why it matters: Clay’s Aug 24 roundup (falls inside this window) shipped Credit Budgets (set/manage credit allocations per workspace to control spend) and Testing Functions (test a function against imported or AI-generated rows before running it live) — both aimed at cost governance as Clay usage scales inside larger organizations. Clay also just announced new Gong and Webflow integrations (turning Gong call data into automated GTM workflows, and enabling on-site personalization via Webflow), which post-date the Aug 24 roundup. Clay’s release cadence remains the fastest of any vendor on the tracking list — worth a standing weekly check given how central it’s become to enrichment workflows.
  • Recommended follow-up: Roll out Credit Budgets on any client Clay workspace with multiple table owners to prevent runaway spend; evaluate the new Gong integration for clients that already use Gong and want call-signal-driven enrichment.

Adjacent / Emerging Vendors to Watch

These aren’t on the tracking list but compete directly with 6sense, Demandbase, HubSpot, or Clay in ABM, attribution, or CRM, and are relevant for enterprise tech and growth-stage clients evaluating alternatives or complements.

  • Attio (modern CRM) — Medium impact. Reported in January 2026 to be allowing employee share sales at a $5B valuation, signaling strong growth-stage momentum. Positioned as a faster-to-deploy, more flexible alternative to legacy CRMs for growth-stage tech companies — worth a look for any client frustrated with HubSpot/Salesforce configuration overhead. Source: https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/28/business/dealbook/clay-start-up-tender-offers.html (referenced via Clay.com press page)
  • Dreamdata (B2B revenue attribution) — Medium impact. Denmark-based attribution platform, last raised $55M (Series B, Oct 2025), focused on account-level multi-touch journey mapping tied to CRM pipeline data. A credible, more focused alternative to 6sense/Demandbase for clients whose primary need is attribution rather than full ABM orchestration.
  • HockeyStack (B2B attribution + GTM intelligence) — Low-Medium impact. Combines attribution with two AI agents (marketing analysis and sales workflow automation); positions itself as broader than pure attribution, closer to a lightweight GTM intelligence layer.
  • Warmly / Factors.ai (signal-based visitor ID and account intelligence) — Low-Medium impact. Lower-cost entry points for anonymous visitor identification and account scoring; relevant for budget-constrained or earlier-stage clients not ready for a full 6sense/Demandbase commitment.

Compiled from vendor release notes, newsrooms, and product update pages current as of Sept 2, 2026. Item dates are noted individually; where a vendor’s most recent substantive update predates the strict 7-day window, this is flagged explicitly.
